The Daily Commitment

What I learned this past weekend:

1. That being a guest at a wedding is FUN

2. That being a guest at a wedding is not nearly as fun as actually photographing a wedding

3. That a good book may not be a cure for an upset tummy, but its a good distraction while you're sprawled out on the couch with a bottle of Pepto

4. That a box of Raisin Bran actually IS the cure for an upset tummy

5. That my mom was right - I need to eat my Raisin Bran...

6. That our readers love it when we blog everyday, even on the weekends.

Over the past couple of months and weeks, I've been receiving many sweet comments like, "Why didn't you post today?" and "Why are you here? Why aren't you blogging right now?" or "I'm sorry, but we can't hang out tonight until you have something on the blog for me to read, so go home and do it. Now." And I promise, even though I've been blogging at least three or four times a week for the past year, its time to step it up a notch and make the daily commitment. Like taking my daily Vitamin C. Or reading a chapter in my bible before breakfast. Or reading a good book before I go to sleep. Its just good for my soul to write on a daily basis - and to have it be read and received by all of our wonderful readers out there. So from now on, our goal is to have something on the blog every day of the week - including weekends. Wahoo!

So now its time for your commitment. We see all of the nitty-gritty behind the scenes stats of our blog, and we know how many people there are that we have yet to meet. So please, if its your time to come out of the blog-stalking shadows, we'd love to meet you in our comments! And this isn't about getting more comments on our blog. Not at all. We want this blog to be a place of conversation, love, and encouragement. So leave a comment and start the conversation!

As I was preparing for this week and taking some pictures for an upcoming post, I found Gracie on the floor providing some much needed entertainment. And this wasn't a split second moment. She was laying there for about five minutes holding her foot - and staring at it - before I snapped a picture and she fell out of her kitty trance. I love our cat.

Hugs,
Erin
