The fall issues have arrived

I don't check the mail everyday. Sometimes it takes a few days for me to walk the 50 feet across the street to check our mail. And by a few days, sometimes I mean five. Or six. I know, its terrible! But ever since Jeff left his day job, the mail has been picked up much more often, and I'm sure our mailman has been pleasantly surprised every time he opens our box and discovers that he doesn't have to use herculean efforts to shove that day's mail in with the rest!

Yesterday, Jeff picked up the mail and after the junk mail/super ads/credit card offers were removed, we were left with my magazine subscriptions. At least, most of my magazine subscriptions. It didn't include Real Simple and Crate & Barrel, but those had arrived the day before and we had thankfully picked them up because there was no way they could have fit all of this into our tiny little HOA mailbox if we hadn't. The fall catalogs are officially here.

So as you can see, I love magazines. Especially my beloved Martha Stewart Living and Pottery Barn catalog. They have become my official bathtub reads on those nights when I just want to indulge. There is nothing better to me than some wine, cheese, smelly-good candles, Martha Stewart, and some scissors (I love cutting out pages for inspiration). I also love that all of the fall issues are here and it just now got warm in San Diego! Don't worry, though, I will still be fully enjoying some Pumpkin Spice latte action, even in 90 degree weather!

Rangefinder is our monthly photography subscription that is a staple to any photographer's continuing education, and this along with Business Week are those perfect excuses to take a break from work in the middle of the day and do some reading, because, you know, its about business stuff.

Elegant Bride keeps us in the loop on cutting edge wedding trends and fashion, especially when it comes to publishing our own weddings. Its a strange collection of reads, but if you know anything about me by now, I love to read anything and everything! Plus, you can blame it on my endless need to be liked by those middle school kids that come to the door selling magazines for their schools. I'm just doing my part to support education. At least, that's what I'm telling myself!

Hugs,

Erin

Erin - @Susan actually somehow I manage to combine reading magazines AND cutting out pages while sipping wine, eating cheese, and soaking in the bath. Its a feat (and usually more work than is necessary) but I love it!

Betsy, La Vida - Ahhhh… Martha and Real Simple make my day. I am a total magazine junkie!!! ;)

Susan Solo - lol! When you said that these were your bathtub reads and then you mentioned scissors, at first I thought you meant you did all that while soaking in the tub! Surely you don’t combine the two. :)
