Chuck and Laura | Point Loma, CA

Chuck and Laura are perfect for each other in the way that ice cream goes perfectly on top of a waffle cone. They are both sweet, they are both refreshing, they both make you smile (the kind of smile that runs deep into your memories and pulls at every wonderful moment from your childhood years), and the thing you love most about them is the way they melt together, especially at the very last bite.

Food analogies aside, these two come from very different places in the world. He's from Costa Rica, she's a native of the Northwest. They learned to speak different languages, they celebrate different holidays, they eat different foods - and yet, that's the way love works. It doesn't pay attention to the boundaries of the world. It doesn't count by miles or kilometers,  yards or meters. It could care less about accents and rituals. Heck, it doesn't even care if you can communicate to the other person. The only thing love cares about is the contours of the heart. Does his touch make her melt? Do her jokes make him laugh? In other words, does her ice cream fit into his waffle cone??

Chuck and Laura are one of those rare couples that truly melt into each other. They may be from different continents, but the countries and borders that separated them for most of their lives have since blurred into a warmth that connects them. Jeff and I got to meet up with these two when they made their way to the US from Costa Rica, and as if we didn't get enough beach in Thailand already, we're gonna be flying down to the Central-America-land itself later this week for their Costa Rica wedding! Wahoo! So as we post this blog, we're packing up our bathing suits and ready to ditch this gloomy Chicago weather for some suu-uun!

While Chuck and Laura met and have spent most of their relationship together in Costa Rica, Chuck spent three months in San Diego with Laura while they were dating. We decided to shoot their engagement in Point Loma where they would always take walks during those short three months.

One look through our little viewfinder thingys told us that these two are basically adorable. Honestly. It doesn't get much better than this!
