Kevin & Laura | Coronado, CA

She couldn't deny it - Kevin was one of her best friends. She could laugh with him, cry with him, and be completely herself when he was around.  She had known him for years, and they were flawless as co-workers. As she sat at dinner on her date, getting to know the stranger across from her, she couldn't shake the nagging thought: 'This would be so much better if it was Kevin sitting across from me.' As the words sunk slowly into her heart, Laura melted in a way that she had never felt before. All of the reasons why they couldn't be together flooded her mind - they worked together, they couldn't mess with their friendship, it would get too complicated - but all she wanted at that moment was to be sitting across from her best friend on a date.

He couldn't deny it either - Laura had the most beautiful eyes and most breathtaking smile that he had ever seen, and all he wanted was to spend the rest of his life with this amazing girl.

Jeff and I met Kevin and Laura at Laura's sister's wedding back in August and we knew instantly that they were going to be together forever - even though there was no talk of a ring just yet! When we heard they got engaged not too long after, we were ecstatic that they asked us to photograph their wedding in Chicago. Needless to say, we were so excited for them to fly out to San Diego for their engagement session last week - especially since they arrived to sunny beaches and 80 degree "winter" weather! The only bummer is that we have to wait until June to hang out again!

On to the pictures - the thing I love about these two is that they laugh a lot! I couldn't get enough of Laura's smile!
