It wasn't until years later that she noticed him back. The first time Ryan laid his eyes on the cute girl at church, his heart skipped a beat. A few in fact. Chelsea was stunning - her big smile, her green eyes, her joyous laugh - everything captivated him.
But it just wasn't time. Neither was ready for love. Their lives were moving fast and the future was uncertain.
So they went on with their lives. They lived and loved for a few years until Ryan came back to volunteer on her staff at church again. A friend murmured in Chelsea's ear, "Look who came back," pointing to the cute guy across the room, and her heart skipped a beat. A few in fact. His shy eyes, his kind words, his sweet touch captivated her heart. She hadn't ever felt that kind of rush before, and suddenly an image of Ryan fit perfectly into her life.
The timing had become perfect.
Jeff and I met Ryan and Chelsea at Kevin and Laura's wedding in Chicago last June, and we just about happy danced right through our roof when we heard they were getting engaged. We LOVE these two and were so excited when they came out to San Diego for their engagement session this last week. We definitely made the most of their trip and took them to all of the most beautiful places San Diego can offer. The weather was perfect and every sunset was amazing and we filled our time with burritos and beaches, but we did take time to actually shoot their engagement session which was the best part of the entire time! We can't wait for their wedding in Chicago next March, and don't worry, Chelsea, I promise to pack up some of our amazing San Diego weather for your wedding day!

We strolled around the streets of La Jolla for the first part of the session and found some amazing pockets of light. These two can't get any cuter!
Chelsea - you are so stinkin' fabulous!
I love this series that Jeff caught while standing precariously on top of a dumpster...
These guys are so adorable!
I love these guys!
Chelsea has the most amazing green eyes. I didn't do any post processing to them in this image - they are really that green!
Stay tuned later today to see more of Ryan and Chelsea and the most beautiful La Jolla sunset I've ever seen!
Hugs,
Erin
