A successful entrepreneur very rarely considers themselves as having succeeded. The most distinguished experts always have something new to learn. A good photographer will never be quite good enough.
What a thing to think about. This weekend at the Shootout, I didn't do much shooting due to logistics (I was keeping everything running together!), but it gave me the chance to step back and watch some very talented photographers consider themselves to be not quite good enough because they came to a fantastic opportunity to learn more than they already know. As I took a moment to breathe in the palacial front room of the sun-drenched house in which we were privileged to shoot (enormous thanks to the super talented David Manning), I became very grateful that I belong to a profession in which learning thrives. To everyone who came: thank you for never being satisfied with just being good!!
I did manage to snap off a few images and these were definitely my favorites. The first one is my signature "butt shot" which nobody ever realizes I'm taking until they see the photos. I just think its fun!

MsB - The photos are great, but what you said in those two paragraphs alone was just AWESOME!!! You totally said what I’ve been feeling! We don’t really know how good we are, even when we’ve reached that success in our lives, because there’s always MORE to learn and accomplish. Right on!
