The sky had turned cold and drizzly over Newport Beach, turning everything gray. A wet breeze blew past the door, a woman clutched her sweater as she strode past, signs flapped in the wind, and curtains blew inward. Even the dogs laying at the coffee shop on the corner buried their noses in their fur to escape the intermittent rain drops. But inside, it was warm. Across the studio, the three of us clutched our coffee cups and squeezed together on some bar stools, crouching over one end of a long table. I sat crunched between two bodies, nervously tapping my toes on my bar stool beneath, smiling deliriously at my own face on the laptop in front of us. It was such a warm, inviting, and overwhelming experience. I felt crunched in between layers of love, between the people next to me and all of the faceless people out in the world watching.
Our good friend Dane Sanders invited us to join him on his weekly broadcast, AskDane.com yesterday, and we had so much fun! A big thank you goes out to everyone who tuned in live to hear us, and thank you to everyone who asked questions - sorry we didn't get to answer all of them! It can be so nerve-wracking to speak in front of tons of people, but the whole laptop experience definitely helped! We love you guys and can't thank you enough for your support and encouragement!
If you didn't get the change to watch the live broadcast, check out the recorded replay below:
Hugs,
Erin
