Sarah and Thomas | Day After
He had just bought the ring, but he couldn't ruin the surprise. Over the next few weeks, whenever the topic of marriage came up, he shrugged it off. He was happy with how things were, he lied. Why did they need to get married? She didn't know what to think. Confused, Sarah tried to convince herself that he was right. Maybe they didn't need to get married after all? They could still live happily ever after, right? But she knew in her heart of hearts that she wanted to be his wife and nothing else would do. But one night, when Sarah came home from a long day at work, Thomas showed her the ring and told her what was in his heart of hearts - to spend the rest of his life by her side.
We met these two at
Amy and Andy's wedding in August and were mutually bummed that they had already hired a resort photographer for their November wedding at the
Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. But that didn't stop us! Even though we didn't get to share their most special day, we did the next best thing - a customized Day After shoot! If you've already had your wedding, would like some creative pictures after the wedding day, or just want to get back into your dress again, Day After shoots are definitely the way to go! These are great if time is too limited on the wedding day to get all the pictures you want, or if you'd like to get more creative shots than what your venue allows. We can literaly go anywhere and do anything!
Take note: Day After Sessions are similar to Trash the Dress Sessions in that your dress will get dirty, but we don't actually ruin the dress unless you specifically want us to. Think of Day After Sessions as doing things in your dress that you normally wouldn't do on the wedding day.
These two are so cute! They were immediately comfortable in front of our cameras and they let us get as creative as we wanted! Woohoo!
I'm sure Sarah already knows this, but Thomas' laughing smile is the best smile ever! This guy is HANDSOME
Sarah's eyes are just magnificent!
I've seen this doorway several times, but have always passed it up. As soon as I saw Sarah's dress, however, I knew it's time had come..
We headed up into Laguna Canyon and played around in the fields. We were so excited to play around with a bride and groom in this kind of setting!
I really like this image that Jeff captured as I was working with Sarah.
Jeff's view - gorgeous sunlight!
My view
Yes, Sarah is a babe. And yes, Sarah is the most awesomest babe ever for laying on a branch in the middle of the woods with her dress on. And yes, the boys had to pick her up and place her there! What can I say? I had a vision and it needed to be explored!
I love seeing how differently Jeff and I approach certain set-ups. This is my view.
This is Jeff's view.
And my view again, with the added Bond-like studliness of Thomas himself. I did tell him several times that only Bond and Bond-minded peeps would be walking around in a field with a sweet suit on.
Sarah and Thomas - Thank you so much for hanging out with us and being so fun! We had such a blast and loved getting to know the two of you better! Now go use your ice cream maker and eat a bowl of Christmas Peppermint goodness for the two of us!
Hugs,
Erin
