After the cake and dresses and music and limos and bridal showers and bachelor parties, life becomes sweet - and wonderful and exciting - because there is someone next to you to share all of those little moments with. Instead of dates and dinners you're sharing chores and bills, but somehow even taking out the garbage has become romantic. Or at least a little more fun, because your hubby is making his famous french toast for dinner and your brand new puppy is sliding through the kitchen on the tile floors you installed together last Saturday. And who cares that the floor turned out a little crooked? And that you still have plaster in your fingernails? You'll cherish that Saturday and those crooked tiles forever, because you did it with your best friend for life.
While Jeff and I were photographing Ryan and Chelsea's wedding in Chicago last month, we got to hang out with one of our favorite couples from 2009, Kevin and Laura. We got to meet their new puppy and pet their fluffy kitty and see the house that they bought together. It was so wonderful getting to be a part of their newlywed lives almost a year after the wedding. Because once we've shot your wedding, be prepared to be married friends for life! Ha!
We met up with these two in downtown for some fun shooting time to document their first year of marriage, and we fell in love with the back alleys of Chicago.

Kevin and Laura were so awesome to not only take off Laura's coat in the freezing weather, but to stand in the middle of the road with honking horns and cars everywhere! Thanks guys!
