All of the signs were there when we walked in. A table full of freshly baked pumpkin pies sat in the kitchen nook and the countertops were mounded with cookies cooling from an afternoon of baking. The dining room table was set with their best holiday china, surrounded by candles and fall decor. Although the house sat silent for just a moment, the air buzzed with family. That warm, thick, gooey feeling of family.
Jeff and I had a moment to ourselves in the Eastman family home while they finished their last minute prepping for their family shoot, and the place felt alive with memories. Pictures from graduation days, birthdays, and just normal everydays sat on every surface, and I felt so connected to this cozy, wonderful home and the love that filled it. Before I even met most of them, I knew that the Eastmans were very special people.
Jeff and I met Lindsey Eastman when we photographed Eric and Cindy's engagement session in her family's backyard in Rancho Santa Fe, so we were delighted to photograph her entire family there too! This place is gorgeous, but definitely not as gorgeous as the Eastmans themselves!

We started in the front yard where the fall leaves were bright and colorful. Can you believe how cute this family is??

Then Kim and Earle - so cute!
And then the kids! Rob has been out in Boston for law school so I think his sisters are happy to see him!
I knew I would get along with these girls when I saw their shoes...
We asked them to give us their most fake Gap commercial laughs, and this is what we got. I love it.
Earle gave Kim these rocking chairs for Valentine's Day a few years ago, one for each member of the family. I think I teared up a little when Kim told me that!

These guys were so cute and wonderful the entire time - everyone was always laughing!
For the last few minutes of light, they brought out their two pups and I just about died and went to heaven! If I could have a dog, I would have an Australian Shepherd or an Irish Setter, and they had both!
We grabbed a few more with the Christmas lights on the house, and I think these are my favorite!
