Quinn and her mother did everything for this wedding, including all of the flowers, and Quinn got ready at her parent's gorgeous estate in Boise. Quinn also managed an Anthropologie store, so she took much of her inspiration from the design that surrounded her at work.

Quinn had this shawl made for her based off of a design she found in her Anthropologie store. It was so soft and warm - perfect for a crisp, cold winter day in the Northwest.

I absolutely loved the florals that Quinn's mother created, and Quinn gave each of her bridesmaids her favorite necklace design from Anthropologie.

Quinn and her mom made paper flower centerpieces that ran the length of the long family-style tables at the receptions, and a fresh pear sat at every place setting. I also loved that they had their favorite restaurant in town, Boise Fry Company, serve their famous burgers and fries for guests. Tim is also a professional violinist, and Quinn surprised him with a custom groom's cake made to look exactly like his violin. So sweet!

The ceremony was filled with meaningful moments.

I love this image I caught of them coming back down the aisle. Sometimes I love being caught in the "wrong" place at the right time (don't worry, Jeff caught the main angle).

Ask a beautiful girl to walk down an alley, and this is what you get. Wow.

We had some light peek through the gray winter clouds for the sunset. After weeks of bitter cold mixed with nasty snow and rainstorms, this day couldn't have been more perfect.

We chose Katherine Albertson Park just outside of downtown for Quinn and Tim's portraits. This park is designated as a "passive use nature area," which means that it has been restored as a wetland habitat and is filled with beautiful plants and wildlife. I think it basically means perfection...

Gorgeous.

There was a huge puddle taking up the path, so Tim had to help Quinn cross it. These guys are great.

I think this is my favorite from the day.

I love this image and how its focused on the reeds in the foreground.

On our way back to the car, we stopped to capture the mountains that had been hidden behind clouds for days. They came out just in time!

The reception was held at Barber Park on the outskirts of Boise, and this reception was quirky, fun, and super stylish. They had a live band for the evening and swing lessons during the cocktail hour for guests, along with hot chocolate, burgers and fries, chocolate covered dates, and lots of fun! Quinn and her mother had so much fun with the decor. They centered everything around pears, including pears at every place setting to use as name cards. So cute!

They used the water bottles at the tables for the table names, which were all of Tim's favorite composers.

They doubled the favors as the escort cards and each one had Quinn and Tim's favorite candies.

They also put together a photo booth, and used big black chalkboards for instructions and for guests to write notes!

But out of everything, my favorite part was the food! Quinn LOVES the fries at In-n-Out, but alas, there are none in Idaho. So they hired the Boise Fry Company that specializes in tasty french fries to cater the wedding. The burgers and fries were yummy, yummy, yummy!

The best part - they had fry sauce!! If you're from the northwest, you know what I'm talking about.

In honor of her hubby's talent, Quinn surprised Tim with a groom's cake that was modeled after his performance violin. He loved it!

The first dance kicked off the evening of swing dancing.

As now as we come to a close on Quinn and Tim's wedding, I leave you with this final message...

Tim and Quinn: Thank you so much for being so fun! We love you guys and can't wait to see where life takes you next!

There's no other way to say it. You just know. Quinn heard it - from friends, from other couples - but she never understood it. It was too strange, too impulsive. How could you meet somebody and just know? Right away? Without hesitation or doubt that this was the person you were meant to spend the rest of your life with? Without time? Without some room to grow and live?

But suddenly she knew.

It was a blind date that didn't work out that brought them together. Quinn's set-up date wasn't the right person. They both knew it, but her date knew someone that was the right person. She was invited to tennis with Tim. They played. They smiled. They laughed. They fell. Instantly and beautifully, they fell in love. A few months later, he proposed and their wedding was planned for New Year's Day - about six months after the day they met.

They just knew.

Quinn is an old friend of ours from our days of working at Hume Lake Christian Camps, and she's always been a very special person in our lives. There are friends that come and go, and then there's friends that stay for life. The kind of friends that you may only see or talk to once a year, but you know in your soul of souls that you will be friends until you are old and gray and wrinkly. That's Quinn. A friend for life. And we were so deeply happy that the man of her dreams had come into her life.

Quinn moved to Boise, Idaho, a few years ago with her parents, and we were so excited to not only shoot a wedding in my home state, but in the middle of winter! And there was snow on the ground! These two San Diegans were eating it up!

We started at Quinn's parent's beautiful estate just outside of Boise. To call this place adorable is simply an understatement. This place is ad-OR-able. Jeff started off the morning with this shot of Tim's ring. We could feel that this was going to be a good day...

Quinn is definitely a natural beauty and she was so relaxed the whole day.

The entire house was still covered in cute Christmas and winter decorations, which fit perfectly with the wedding decor.

Guess what these are? The mothers' corsages. Yep. Adorable.

Ok, so I don't normally include two shoe shots, but I couldn't resist. All together now - AH-dorable.

And now back to the wedding. Which was - you guessed it - adorable. Ok, I'm done now. I can hear you groaning at your monitor. How gorgeous is Quinn?

So Quinn is just so cool that she let us put her in the bathtub. And then I asked someone to make her laugh and she was like, "Oh don't worry, I make myself laugh" and then she started cracking up. I love this girl.

A few shots I grabbed of Quinn that I think are my absolute favorite.

Luckily, the temperature warmed up outside to a balmy 45 degrees, so we were able to get some amazing stuff in the backyard.

A little breeze always helps.

Quinn manages an Anthropologie store (I know - I was STOKED), so she got the girls necklaces straight from Anthropologie.

Some homemade tutus and flowers for the flower girls completed the picture.

While I finished up with the girls, Jeff went ahead to the Capital City Christian Church in downtown Boise and grabbed some great images of Tim and the boys.

In case you were wondering (I know you were), Tim's boutonniere is on the wrong side of his tux. This was not a mistake. Tim is actually an incredibly talented performance violinist and he played his violin as the bridal party walked down the aisle during the ceremony. This guy is truly amazing!

I always wanted to be that cool...

But sometimes, I actually do get to hang with the cool kids. When we travel to weddings outside of Southern California, Jeff and I love to capture the full event that is the Wedding Weekend. The showers, the breakfasts, the rehearsals, the nails, the fittings - everything. Hey, we're in town, so why not? So we got to head up to Boise, Idaho, for Quinn and Tim's beautiful New Year's Day wedding this last weekend, and Quinn invited me along to the brunch that her aunt threw for her the day before the wedding. It. Was. Gorgeous.

Quinn's family is extremely blessed with some incredibly classy genes. Not only do they have an innate sense of elegant style, but Quinn herself is a manager of an Anthropologie store (!!!). So on the morning of New Year's Eve, I arrived to a stunning brunch in her parent's picturesque Boise home. How cute is this?

I loved the favors - wooden spoons and utensils set at each place setting.

Every guest was asked to write down different recipes on cute recipe cards that were included in the invitations and will be put together in a darling recipe box for Quinn later on. Such a great idea!

Quinn's parents house is absolutely stunning. The chairs all came from around the house and I was drooling over the decorations. There will be more images to come tomorrow with Quinn's wedding that I can't wait to share!

The morning was filled with food, mimosas, and plenty of toasts and laughter.

Quinn's aunt served a chilled peach soup which looked fabulous and tasted like a yummy fresh smoothy.

There was also an egg puff pastry that came straight out of a cookbook from Anthropologie.

We also played a game of The Price is Right where we had to guess the price of common household goods. I did not do so well. In fact, I probably had the worst score out of anyone there! I'd like to say that maybe the prices are drastically different in San Diego than Boise, Idaho, but honestly, I don't think a pack of Band-Aids cost $12.50 anywhere.

We needed a little bit of help with the addition...

For dessert, we had mouth-watering chocolate waffles. By noon, I was stuffed!

The prizes came straight from Anthropologie, and I have to admit that I had no idea how to work this year's Anthro gift wrap until Quinn taught me at the party! Ha! A bunch of my friends got gifts with lots of round button looking things all over them instead of this cute little number.
