Just before the ceremony began, a few tears fell from Krista's eyes. Her bridesmaids had been chatting quietly, the grandmother's were being escorted down the aisle, and her mother held her brother's arm waiting tenderly for their cue. But as the music floated out of the sanctuary and the mother's were led down toward their seats, Krista suddenly felt the emotion of the day and her eyes gave way to tears of joy, elation, fear, and wonderment. In the next moment, her girls turned and saw Krista, cracked a joke and had her laughing in stitches through her tears and her joy. As they fell over each other in laughter during this epic moment before Krista's walk down the church aisle, everything felt as normal as ever.
In fact, Aaron and Krista's entire wedding day felt just like this moment. It was filled with tears, laughter, delight, and marvelously grand moments, but in the in-between spaces, when everything quieted down and the beautiful day turned into lovely minutes, it all felt so wonderfully normal. It was as if these two were meant to get married every day of their lives, because they are so right for each other and so meant to be together. Aaron and Krista - the two of you are genuinely fantastic together!

Aaron and Krista held their wedding at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Long Beach and their reception at the Summit House in Fullerton. We spent the majority of our time hanging out at the Summit House for pictures, and the staff was absolutely wonderful! They always had waters, snacks and champagne ready and available for the entire bridal party during the warm afternoon, and a HUGE thanks goes out to Marco for taking such amazing care of every one of us. Not a single detail was left untouched and it was wonderful to see him take such great care in his work. Also a big 'ol thanks goes out to Emily Engle of Emily Photo for tagging along and shooting with us for the day. It was so much to have her along!
Mary Kwan at White House Florist did a wonderful job on the florals for the day. I loved Krista's bouquet!
Aaron and Krista chose to do a First Look and Aaron was so excited!!
I love this look that Jeff captured of Krista.
And then Aaron's look cracks me up! He's stunned!
I think this might be my favorite of the two of them. Its simple, classic, and they both look gorgeous!
Krista had a pendant placed on her bouquet in tribute to her sister Brianna who passed away while on the mission field in Africa a few years ago. I love when brides incorporate such meaningful details, and I love that I get to capture them for a lifetime. I think I had to hold back a tear when Krista asked if I would photograph it (I'm such a baby sometimes!), but these are the details that make Jeff and I love our jobs so stinkin' much!
This is the blooper picture that Jeff caught of these two...
...and here's what its supposed to look like. These guys were so much fun!
I love getting really fun pictures of the girls, and these ladies were all about it! Work it!
Meanwhile, Jeff is rocking it with the guys.
The girls prayed for Krista just before the ceremony was about to start.
I think this is my favorite image from the day. Krista's dad is so happy in this moment!
Ok, I take that back, this image may be my favorite because I laugh out loud every time I see it. Aaron is STOKED!!
Back at the Summit House we grabbed some more portraits in the amazing golden light of the setting sun.
We're married!
Knott's Berry Farm provided the DELICIOUS and beautiful cake.
We couldn't have asked for better light or a more beautiful couple during the first dance. It was simply lovely.
Krista and her dad left everyone with misty eyes.
The rest of the night was tons of fun!
Aaron and Krista: You guys are simply incredible and we are blessed more than you know by your relationship and love. We are so excited to see what the future brings for you guys!
Hugs,
Erin
