Amy & Garett | Salt Lake City, Utah

It was her strength and her confidence that first captivated him. As she sat with his father and chatted with his friends, Garett realized that this girl was remarkably different from the other women he had dated. Her warmth surrounded the table, her laughter surrounded his heart. She had been invited to the benefit dinner at the last minute by his friend to fill an empty seat at Garett's table. Garett was busy, in and out of his seat working the benefit, and didn't have time to entertain his date, but she was fine. In fact, she was wonderful. Her confidence beamed through her smile, and her strength stood in her eyes. He watched her from across the room, captivated by her beauty, and when their eyes met, his heart collided with the love of his life.

Amy and Garett have a love for each other that is remarkably tender and true, and Jeff and I had the chance to fly up north for their Salt Lake City wedding last weekend. Not only is this a fantastic city, but Amy put together a fantastically stylish wedding. No detail was left untouched, and she infused her personality into every aspect of the day, including the cute little peacock feathers in every detail!

A special thanks goes to Diana and Loreilei for coordinating the day. You two made everything smooth and easy, thank you!

Amy and Garett chose to do a First Look before the ceremony at The City Library in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. This library is known for its award-winning architecture and allowed us to create an incredibly romantic and timeless First Look moment.  Remember, if these two had not decided to see each other before the ceremony, then none of the following pictures would have been possible!

They held the ceremony and reception at The Point, a chic restaurant and venue tucked against the mountains that overlooks the city and the entire valley. The views were unbelievable!

We had so much fun with both of their families! We like to mix up the traditional family portraits sometimes. Yes, we took a nice portrait as well, but we're hoping that this one goes on the wall.:)

Nothing says Salt Lake like the gorgeous mountains. They were clear and beautiful all day, so we couldn't resist!

You both have been blessed with amazing creativity from The Creator Himself. It was such fun to have you both at the wedding. We can’t wait to see the rest!

Erin - @Zach The library was actually super easy to work with – apparently they realize that its a crazy cool place to shoot and welcome photographers! We just had to stop by the info desk and get little sticky name tags, ha! But we ALWAYS check with locations like this before a shoot, because you never know – some are easygoing while others are more strict.

Zach - Wonderful work as always you guys. I absolutely loved the first look photos. What a location. When you go into a place like that, do you generally need to get permits? I got chased out of a train station up here in Orange County while scouting for locations for an engagement shoot a while back. Luckily the clients weren’t with me at the time. Anyhow, you are truly inspiring to all of us aspiring wedding photographers out there. I consider myself blessed to be have talented people like you in my life.

Michael Ingram - WOW!!! Jeff and Erin you guys rock

Jenny - Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. I can’t wait to see the whole slew of them. You were both such an exquisite and perfect piece of the wedding. It would not have been the same without you. I keep a copy of your card in my wallet on the off chance I meet someone looking for a photographer. And then, I gush. gush. gush. Thank you for pursuing your love of photography together and adding wonderfulness to our world. All love.

tiffany izart - These are beautiful!! what a gorgeous bride!

Shannon - Yay Utah! =)

Stephen Knuth - Great Job!! I love that you posted both angles that you were taking at each location. The mountains do serve as a great backdrop. I was there 5 days before you were for snowboarding.
