Andrea & Scott | Temecula, CA
She rounded the corner and turned into the warm shade beneath the corridor, holding her dress, stepping softly. The warm browns of the walls bounced off her skin and her dress sparkled lightly as the sunlight cascaded through the vineyards, down the aisleway, and onto her dress. She looked up at the figure standing with his back to her and smiled. It was the smile I had been waiting for. It wasn't the one of excitement when she slipped on her dress and walked to the mirror to see herself for the first time. It wasn't the laughter that she reserved for her bridesmaids. It wasn't even the one I saw during her engagement photos when she gazed into Scott's eyes. It was the one that appears when a bride sees the man she is going to marry for the first time. And Andrea's was beautiful. I mean, don't get me wrong, Andrea is STUNNING. But all the beauty inside of her suddenly radiated the moment she saw Scott standing with his back to her, ready to see his bride on their wedding day.
And when he turned around, his eyes saw that same beauty standing before him. All he could do was step forward and take her in his arms.
These two have a magical chemistry between them. They are calm, they are goofy, they are intense, and they are PERFECT for each other.
My favorite image of the day. She was the definition of an elegant bride!
So I have to reveal a bit of the goofy side of Andrea and Scott. Apparently Scott had a little mishap the night before the wedding. In the wee hours of the night, Scott and the boys went to give each other high fives (because boys do that sort of thing in the middle of night...?) and one of the boys missed and hit Scott in the eye! All would be fine with the world, except there was a big purple scratch above his eye in the morning, which had to be touched up by the makeup artist before pictures... What a sport!
Lesson learned: A bunch of guys high-fiving in the dark = BAD IDEA.

The venue graciously allowed us into the barrel room for some post-ceremony portraits. Jeff and I were GIDDY!
The first dance. I love watching these two together.

The First Look | The Youngrens - [...] was a First Look moment that I described at a wedding in June of 2008, but this same exact feeling takes place with every First Look that Jeff and I photograph. What is [...]
Betsy, La Vida Creations - We LOOOOOOVE Wiens. What a great place!!! Lovely photos, you two. Especially glamorous—the sepia dress shot with shoe in hand… there’s just something about that.
Excellent work and looks like a fantastically fun couple!

Tiffany Izatt - Wow, reading that gave me chills, you are an awesome story teller. The images are perfect. What a beautiful bride. Its also a good thing there was a makeup artist for the groom.
