If Josh and Amy’s wedding day could be wrapped up in two words, it would be cotton candy. But the yellow kind. The kind that is soft and simple. The kind that reminds you of the best days of childhood filled with bathing suits and sticky faces. The kind that makes you smile when you hold it between your warm fingers, knowing that this thing you hold is meant to do nothing more than to make your heart smile. In fact, the whole day made me feel like I was running through one big cotton candy cloud, because I felt so exceedingly joyful. I felt like the day had been created from the ground up for just Josh and Amy to enjoy. The sun gave off an extra warmth, the sky made itself a little bluer, and the breeze blew a bit softer across the harbor, because Josh and Amy deserve only the best on their wedding day. And in my opinion, yellow cotton candy is as good as it gets.
Josh and Amy are two absolutely amazing individuals and their wedding fell nothing short of the perfection they totally deserve. They got married at the beautiful and newly renovated Bali Hai Restaurant that overlooks the San Diego Harbor, and no detail was left untouched. They both got ready at the Bay Club Hotel on Shelter Island, where the atmosphere was relaxed and excited all at the same time.
While Amy was pampered and beautified...
...the guys donned their handsome suits.
Amy, you are simply gorgeous.
I love these two images. Amy is so stinkin' elegant.
Josh and Amy chose to do a First Look, which made the day so smooth and relaxed! Plus, nothing beats the emotional moments of a First Look!
What a cute bridal party.
The girls were so sweet to fun to hang out with! Also, we got to work with the super talented Diane of Whimsey Florals who is one of our favorite floral designers in town. She always does a fabulous job!
The handsome guys.
Absolutely stunning.
Diane and the team at Bali Hai put together such cute details for Josh and Amy's ceremony and reception. I just love these hanging flower-thingys! (Don't you love my techy floral knowledge?)
It couldn't have been a more perfect day. The sky was blue, the water was clear, and Josh and Amy were absolutely cute.
Love, love, love this series. It's like these two were born to rock the camera.
The view of downtown was stunning! Especially when paired with the perfect bridal party...
We'll bring the rest of Josh and Amy's Bali Hai wedding to the bloggy-blog bright and early tomorrow, so prep your coffee mugs (and you hearts) for still more fabulous-ness to come!
Hugs,
Erin
