Lake Tahoe Destination Wedding, Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of Brian and Susi's fresh and inviting destination wedding in Lake Tahoe. Bryan and Susi are both avid outdoor sports and boating lovers, so the Tahoe setting fit them perfectly. Between the warm down-to-earth personality of Susi and the clean, stylish eye of Merrily Rocco of Merrily Wed, the decor turned out to be organic, heartwarming, and eye-popping all at the same time.

My favorite part of this wedding? The sailcloth tents from Zephyr Tents with their flagged pointed tops reminiscent of New England and the brightly colored strung lanterns hanging overhead. Of course, every little detail was perfect - from the olive tree that doubled as an escort card table to the personalized olive oil bottles that guests were treated to as favors - this wedding looked fab from top to bottom!

Also, an enormous THANK YOU goes out to Carmen Salazar, a wonderful photographer in Sacramento, for coming out to Lake Tahoe to help us photograph the details while we were shooting the ceremony. She was a rockstar, and we were pumped to have her along!

I loved the oversized colorful pillows that softened the wooden space. I saw these in bags before the wedding (and instagrammed them - of course) and was so excited to see them come alive!

 

 

 

This is an actual olive tree. How cool is that? And the green grass at the bottom of the tree also showed up on the tables, so everything tied together super well. I tell you, Merrily is one amazing designer!

 

Each guest was treated to a personalized bottle of basil infused olive oil. Jeff and I actually tried our bottle of olive oil yesterday, and it tasted incredibly fantastic and fresh with the basil flavor.

 

 

 

Bellissima Florals did a fabulous job with the crisp and fresh florals.

 

 

 

 

Don't you just ADORE the look of sailcloth tents? They're sooooo romantic!

A new infatuation of mine is chalkboard signs. They can say whatever you want, they look good with just about any decor, and you can use them again after the wedding!

Brian and Susi set up a lounge area with s'mores and a firepit for guests to enjoy once the sun went down and the stars came out.

 

 

 

I'm such a fan of simple cakes, and Katie's Cakes did a wonderful job on this beautiful piece.

A pathway of signs led guests down the driveway to the venue.

 

Alrighty, enough swooning over the details! The ceremony was small and intimate and made just about all of us teary-eyed!

 

 

Brian's two sisters, waiting for their brother to watch his bride come down the aisle.

Ceremonies are always memorable when things don't go as planned. Susi's mom caught her shoe in the wooden deck as she brought Susi down the aisle, but she smiled it off with adorable grace. I can see where Susi gets all of her sweet charm!

After the ceremony, we stole down to the lakeshore for some beautiful waterside moments.
