L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding, Part One
Brian and Maria

Brian and Maria get each other. They're not the "opposites attract" kind of couple. Their upbeat, animated personalities are so alike it's scary. They finish each others' sentences, they tell the same jokes, and they love with intensity. They come from the world of business - structured, organized, rigid. But when they're together, their fun-loving sides come bursting out. Brian lights up when Maria is around. He becomes a man hopelessly in love, and she glows in his presence. They laugh - loud - and their boisterous nature means that a good time is always just around the corner. Remember they're engagement session in San Francisco? After their epic portraits beneath the Golden Gate bridge, we ended up hanging out for cocktails. And then tacos. And then wine. Until laaaaaate into the night.

So if you're ever looking for a great night out, these are the perfect people to call! Believe me!

Brian and Maria held their seaside wedding at L'Auberge Del Mar, one of our favorite venues here in San Diego. Every time we get to work with the AMAZING folks at L'Auberge, we know it's going to be an awesome couple with wonderful families. That's just how L'Auberge is. It attracts the kind of people that we fall in love with, and Brian and Maria are definitely no different!

The day began with Maria and her lovely Badgley Mischka heels and Justin Alexander wedding gown.

Meanwhile, Jeff hung out with Brian and the groomsmen as they put on their finishing touches.

 

 

These guys were so cute during their First Look. What did I tell you? Brian is hopelessly in love!

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer Cole Florals did a fantastic job on the florals. I loved the bright, fresh vision she had for a seaside wedding.

Brian and Maria chose the beautiful St. Therese of Carmel for their Catholic ceremony, a majestic church just down the road in Carmel Valley with a view of the lush rolling hills of San Diego.

 

 

 

Brian got so emotional as he watched Maria come down the aisle! This moment is always intensely emotional, and many times it's even more meaningful when you've had a chance to decompress and feel your emotions during the First Look. It frees you up to be much more present during this really special moment.

 

 

 

 

Gotta love flower girls! She wanted to be in on the action so she crawled up to the altar - ha!

 

This church is so beautiful, and the view of the hills beyond is just killer.
