"You suck at life!"

And that is how Kristy introduced herself to Matt at the annual World Championship Over the Line Tournament on Fiesta Island. Later (after Kristy had swooned Matt with those sweet first words) Matt and Kristy had what they would call their first date - when Matt met all of Kristy's family. And I'm not talking just mom and dad. I'm talking all of Kristy's loving, boisterous, and extremely loyal extended family.

But Matt held his own and captured the hearts of everyone he met that day, leaving Kristy to shrills of "Oh HE's nice!" and "What a CUTIE!" from the women in her family. Kristy didn't mind though. She knew something was special about this guy. And Matt knew there was something special about this girl.

First of all, she was a baseball fan, and even though she rooted for the Angels and not the Padres, he could live with that minor shortcoming. But what he couldn't live without was this little blonde girl and her perfect smile.

Less than a year after the OTL tournament, Matt watched that cute girl from Fiesta Island walk towards him and take his hand at the end of the aisle.
