As soon as it felt right – and not a minute later – Drew asked her out to sushi. Ashley was working at his company for a little while, and he was immediately drawn to her smile and her sweet personality. She was funny and kind. She was beautiful and thoughtful. But since they worked at the same place, he wanted to wait until the timing was right.
Which is such a gentlemanly thing to do, and Drew is definitely a gentleman. He treats this beautiful woman with care and respect, and looks at her with eyes that show nothing but affection. At their engagement session, we laughed about how long Drew had to wait to ask Ashley out on a date, and the moment she left the company, he wasted no time. They went out to sushi soon after that, and the rest is history.
Drew and Ashely are getting married next year at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel which overlooks the water, but we won’t be able to make it down to the sand during the festivities of their wedding day. So Drew and Ashley came out to Newport Coast from Arizona almost exactly a year before their wedding so we could shoot some beautiful engagement portraits on the beaches of California – the place where they will say ‘I Do’ a year later. So sweet!
I just have to say that we had the most perfect day at Crystal Cove in Newport Coast – can you believe that blue water and warm sand? Not to mention this picture perfect couple??
Drew and Ashley: Oh my goodness – you two look amazing! Can you see why we were so stinkin’ excited while we were photographing you both? But these images look beautiful because you two are beautiful both on the inside and the out, and we loved getting to know your hearts for one another. Next year can’t come fast enough!
Hugs,
Erin
