Angela turned to me and said with affection, “She is an incredible woman. You wouldn’t believe the amazing life she lived.”
Angela was speaking about Will’s 91-year-old grandmother. We were both watching as family members hugged and kissed his grandmother’s cheeks, and the sentiment felt so perfectly Angela.
Angela and Will are both super-achievers, in life and in love.
Whether it’s sports, education, or careers – they have and always will approach everything they do with excellence. They have degrees from Harvard, Will competed in the London Olympics in rowing, Angela is thriving in her demanding career in finance, and they both aren’t stopping anytime soon.
But the running commentary of the weekend from their friends and family wasn’t how much these two have already achieved, but how much they have LOVED those around them.
From a young age, Angela has been fiercely loyal and she’s created a reputation for generosity that shows in everything she does. Will is a kind-hearted soul who lovingly honors every member of his family.
Seeing them dote so affectionately on their grandparents, and watching their eyes light up as they hugged their friends – it was simply heart-melting for me!
Jeff and I flew out to Boston for Will and Angela’s gorgeous wedding weekend, and we began with a fun and meaningful pre-rehearsal-dinner-shoot at the Newell Boathouse, a place where they spent countless hours rowing together on the Harvard crew team. Then we headed over to Harvard for the rehearsal dinner at the Harvard Faculty Club, where they toasted with friends and family before the big day!
The best part of this little pre-wedding shoot? Will wore his official outfit from the London Olympics opening ceremony! I definitely did some internal cartwheels when I saw the Olympic seal on his jacket! I’m such a fan of the summer games, that I definitely had to keep my cool… How amazing is this???
Will and Angela’s wedding in Boston is coming next with all of the gorgeous moments and classic black-tie style that we love! Stay tuned for Part One – your patience will be rewarded soon!
Hugs,
Erin
