How David hooked her, nobody knows. All of his college frat buddies marvel at the fact that the straight-laced computer guy they nicknamed ‘Digital Dave’ hooked a girl as gorgeous, elegant, and thoughtful as Caitlin. In fact, this nerdy boy himself would totally admit that he’s marrying up.
But when Caitlin looks at David we all know that she marvels at how she hooked this handsome boy. How did this intelligent, genuine, and sweet man fall in love with the type-A chick who was married to her palm pilot? Nobody knows. Which is the best kind of love to witness – two humble people hopelessly in love and endlessly awestruck that they were chosen by the incredible individual they get to spend life with. Caitlin and David found in each other something that’s so hard to find – a mutual understanding of the quirks and habits that their friends love but don’t ‘get’. And that’s why all of us marvel at the beautiful relationship that these two share. How two so-made-for-each-other people found one another, nobody knows. All we do know is that this is as close to perfect as love can get.
You may remember Jeff and Kelsey from their Hotel Del Coronado wedding a few years ago, which is where we met Caitlin for the first time, and Kelsey’s wonderful mom, Mel, opened her stunning Mercer Island waterfront home in Seattle to host David and Caitlin’s wedding! So the best thing about this day was that we got to spend time with one of our most favorite families as well as celebrate with a couple that has become just as close to our hearts as Jeff and Kelsey. This wedding was BURSTING with joy and everything about the day couldn’t have been more picturesque – from the gardens surrounding the estate, to the views of Seattle across the water, to the heartwarming details that Caitlin and David incorporated into the tented reception on the sweeping back lawn. It’s going to be a wonderful few days here on the bloggy-blog so let’s begin with the girls and boys getting ready for the day.
