This is the one and only time that I am going to swear on the bloggy-blog because this is probably the one and only way I can capture the essence of Alex and Angela’s wedding day.
When it came time for Alex and Angela to say their ‘I do’s’, Alex went first. Their close friend that had been given the honor of officiating the ceremony asked Alex if he would take wonderful Angela as his wife. Sweet Alex replied with, “I do.”
The officiant turned to Angela and asked her the same – did she take Alex as her husband? She replied with a loud and clear, “Shit yeah!!”
There’s two things that made Angela’s response perfect. First, it made everybody laugh hysterically, not because it was a surprise, but because it wasn’t a surprise. Angela is a fun-loving musician with a seriously inappropriate humor that will make you fall to your knees in laughter without the slightest warning, so her personalized version of ‘I Do’ put her custom Angela Stamp on the day.
And we all love her for it.
Second, it made Alex laugh. And when Alex laughs, the world is good. His sweet soul and quiet nature melts the hearts of everyone around him, so to see him happy is like seeing a puppy in the store window – you just can’t help but buckle at the knees and go “awwwww!” So seeing him marry a girl like Angela tells me that he’s going to be laughing for a very long time.
And we all love him for it.
Today we get to feature Alex and Angela’s bright and colorful beach wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla Shores. Before we jump into the story, though, a giant thank you goes out to Susanne Duffy and her team of coordinating rockstars at Crown Weddings for designing and coordinating a flawless event. These girls were nothing short of spectacular as they were one step ahead of every detail the entire day. Also, Adorations scultped the kind of eye-popping florals that we photographers dream about at night, so thank you to those talented folks! Most of those epic details will be featured tomorrow, so join us as we begin with the girls at the Hotel La Jolla where they prepped for the big event.
