Jeff and I sincerely hope that you’re having a joyful and peaceful day with your families, whatever Christmas Day looks like for you! Jeff and I sent out our Christmas cards to friends and family this past week, and we always include an old-fashioned Youngren Family Newsletter. Remember those? #lostart
Writing this year’s letter hit me somewhere deep, and reflecting on this year brought up many emotions, but we realized as we thought about what we should do for our cards that this was the year of the #selfie for both of us.
We jokingly began to document our travels and everyday life with selfies whenever we could, and I must say that we got pretty stinkin’ good at them (thanks to Jeff’s magnificent selfie arm and my grab bag of selfie poses). Grabbing all of these images for our Christmas card made my heart full. SO full.

Massachusetts, CreativeLive, Jeff’s birthday in Montana, hiking at Glacier National Park, eating focaccia in Italy, Fourth of July scooting, Pursuit Conference in Georgia, Cinque Terre, shooting a wedding with our 200mm f/2.0L, the White House, San Francisco, For the Love Retreat in Colorado, Taco Tuesday with our team at our studio, coffee in NYC, beach day in San Diego, pizza in Italy, an airport somewhere (our second home), pretzels in NYC, scouting for a wedding in Washington DC, Top of the Rock in NYC, donuts in Central Park, saying ‘hi’ to our peeps at the Supreme Court.
No matter what happens, we will always have each other. And no matter where we go, there will be #selfies.
