He lives in London. She lives in Portland.

And in this whole wide crazy world, they found each other in Dubai when Andrew looked across the hotel restaurant and saw a beautiful girl.

It was a girl named Jessica that happened to be a part of the work trip that he was on as well. And they spent the next few days together laughing, joking, and becoming quick friends.

When it was time to part ways and go back to their separate corners of the world, however, Jessica assumed that their sweet connection would turn into nothing more than a fun friendship that lasted for a few days.

But Andrew knew that the girl he met in Dubai was someone special, and even though they were separated by an ocean and a continent, he couldn’t let her slip away. So he pursued their friendship, and showed her his heart.

And Jessica saw a heart that was loving, honorable, generous, and tender. So even though borders and flights and miles stood between them and a relationship with each other didn’t make logical sense, their hearts told them otherwise.

Jessica and Andrew are two souls that the universe has brought together in most incredible way possible. They’ve built their relationship on Skype calls, emails, voicemails, flights, and airports. They’ve spent their dates in places like Paris, Amsterdam, and Portland, and airports in general hold special meaning to these two.

Jeff and I flew up to Portland to hang out with these guys and shoot their engagement photos while Andrew was in town, and Jessica told me about how the arrivals bridge at PDX is a very special place – it’s where they hold each other when Andrew lands, and where they hold each other as long as possible before he leaves.

So I couldn’t help but suggest doing some photos at the place that means so much!

So when Jeff and I landed, we did a quick session with Andrew and Jessica at the airport, and then we explored downtown Portland later that afternoon – including the GORGEOUS waterfront with the blooming cherry blossoms!!!

This session is blowing my mind – I love it so much!!

Andrew & Jessica: I love your hearts! You guys couldn’t be more perfect for each other and I just love that in this whole crazy world, you found each other. We’re so honored to share in this journey with you, and seriously can’t wait for the wedding!
