Their relationship couldn’t have begun on a sweeter note. Literally.
They were in the thick of their intense college studies at Princeton when Roger helped Runqiu fix her computer. She was in her sweats, hair pulled back, eyes strained from the stress of Ivy League demands, and she wanted to thank this kind boy who also happened to be rather cute.
So she brought him a cupcake. A sugary token of friendship that would lead to a late nights, college romance, and cross country flights of long distance dating when Roger moved to San Francisco after school. But even after years of being an item – enduring phone calls, airline miles, and life decisions – we can see that the sugary sweet love that brought them together was just as strong and alive when we hung out with them for their engagement session over Memorial Day weekend. In fact, my favorite thing about Roger and Runqiu is their ability to deeply connect with each other one moment and then bust out into quirky antics the next. The perfect combination for an amazing afternoon!
