Luke and Victoria had been on one date and one date only. But the timing just wasn’t right and six months had gone by faster than they both realized. Victoria had moved and switched jobs, and when life felt a little more settled, she thought about the funny, down-to-earth guy she had gone out with earlier that year. She wanted to call, but didn’t know what to say.
Luckily, Victoria didn’t have to think long, because the funny, down-to-earth guy called her instead. Luke had been seeing mini-coopers almost every day since their first date, and he realized that it was because he couldn’t stop thinking about Victoria, because that’s the car that she drives.
My favorite thing about Luke and Victoria is that they don’t take themselves very seriously at all. They’re not a ‘buttoned-up’ couple – they’re irreverent with a side of real, and I love it! They’re funny, honest, and incredibly charming, so it doesn’t take much to fall in love with them immediately!
But my second favorite thing about Luke and Victoria is that they’re deeply sentimental. Victoria’s parents and grandparents were all married in the month of September, too, and they chose Cafe Pinot for their wedding – a venue tucked next to the gorgeous and historic art deco LA Central Library – partly because Luke’s mom is a librarian. The LA Library was built in the golden age of Hollywood, so Luke and Victoria incorporated card catalogs, books, and library cards into their decor and borrowed from the 1920’s for everything from the stationery to Victoria’s dress. We even did the their First Look and portraits inside the library to incorporate the art deco architecture, which brought the whole theme together beautifully. A big thank you goes out to Orange Blossom Special Events for coordinating every detail perfectly!
