I absolutely adore the second half of Craig and Melissa’s soft summer wedding in the outskirts of Chicago. They held the ceremony on a teeny island in the middle of a river surrounded by beautiful trees and gorgeous scenery, which made for such a romantic setting for them and their guests. Plus, the forecast predicted thunderstorms, but the skies stayed blue to make it the most perfect summer day for a wedding! Love these guys!

The reception was filled with long family-style tables and a beautiful variety of summer flowers by Grapevine Floral.
Remember Craig and Melissa’s travel-themed engagement session we did here in San Diego? Well, they kept the travel theme going with the wedding and named each reception table after a place they’ve been together.
The escort cards were so cute and fit in with the travel theme perfectly!
As their guestbook, they had guests write notes on postcards that will be sent to the couple on their one year anniversary.
The rest of the night was filled with plenty of laughter…
A bunch of tears…
A whole boatload of smiles…

And tons of friends!
