The sweetness continues today with the second half of Ned and Kim’s intimate wedding at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge. From the hand tied bouquet of wildflowers to Kim’s lace rimmed dress to no wedding party and a guest list of close friends and family, everything about this day was simple in the most beautiful way. It was all about celebrating the two of them – Ned being a writer that plays hockey and the ukele, and Kim that loves Disneyland, crafting, and Cary Grant. Together they’re fans of old movies, old music, and trivia nights at the local pub, and their love for each other is as sweet and peaceful as the oak forest in which they held their ceremony.
I am so in love with Descanso Gardens and the towering oak tress, so after tying the knot, we wandered through the forest with Ned and Kim until we made our way to the rose gardens and the party.
How peaceful is this? So serene and lovely…
Meanwhile, the reception took place underneath a garden gazebo with wildflowers tucked into cute bottles and vases welcoming guests into dinner.
I loved all of the cute touches that these two incorporated into the decor including the classic cake from Fantasy Frostings.
After a quick outfit change and signing the marriage license, Red Shoe kicked off the dancing and kept the dance floor full all night long!
Ned & Kim: Your love is really something special and I adore how much you care for each other in the simplest ways. Never lose your sweetness – it’s what makes you two so stinkin’ lovable – and thank you so much for inviting us into your beautiful day!
