“He smiles with his whole heart.”
This is a direct quote from the lovely Claire, a classic girl with a graceful sense of taste and a soul made rich by humble confidence. Sam is her high school sweetheart. The first time they wore a tux and dress together, they were dreamy-eyed teenagers, hopelessly in love.
Ten years later on their wedding day, as the charming Sam donned his bow tie and Claire slipped on her gown (an homage to Grace Kelly), they were a decade deep into the world of one another – of navigating life through, in, and with this partner-in-crime. And after all this time, when they look at one another, they both smile with their whole hearts. They may look quite different than they did then, but on the inside they are still two dreamy-eyed teenagers, hopelessly in love.
Sam and Claire had one of those elegant black-tie downtown weddings that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a timeless world of grace and charm. They chose the eye-popping National Museum of Women in the Arts in the heart of downtown Washington D.C. (just blocks from the White House itself) to say ‘I Do’, and the entire day made me feel like Audrey Hepburn should be waltzing around the corner any minute.
A big thanks to Ashlee Virginia Events, Edge Floral Event Designers, and Well Dunn Catering for creating such a magical evening for Sam and Claire!
