It just couldn’t have been more perfect.
Jeff and I gathered with our friends and family at the place we met nearly thirteen years ago, Point Loma Nazarene University, and we re-said ‘I do’ after ten years of marriage under a breathtaking oak tree.
Looking Jeff in the eyes again and saying my vows, I was brought right back to the blistering hot June day in 2006 when we said them the first time. I actually thought that this time would feel different. Maybe deeper somehow?
I was so young when we got married, that I’ve had in my head that I didn’t quite understand what I was getting into at the time.
But saying them again, I actually felt very much the same. All of the intellectual thoughts about marriage and how far we’ve come in our journey and how we’ve both grown up so much faded away.
And all I felt was hopelessly in love. That this man is my soulmate, and that I just want to spend forever with him.
And that makes me realize that in the complicated journey that marriage can be, there has always been this one thing – love.
Irrational, unexplainable, immeasurable love.
Jeff and I would love to thank our incredible friend and seriously talented florist, Annette Gomez for the GORGEOUS florals, including the breathtaking wreath we hung on the tree. Sarah Doria did a fabulous job on my makeup, I am in love with my dress from Eliza J, and Jeff’s uncle, Steve, was so gracious is officiating the vows! Also, our friends were amazing, and said such wonderful things for us during the ceremony, and Jeff’s brother, Daniel, and his parents read wonderful poems. Thank you sweet friends!!
Lastly, we recorded the vow renewal ceremony time, so take a listen!

A big thanks to Gene Kim for helping us with the audio, and to our AMAZING photographer, Lauren, that shoots for our second wedding brand, Clove & Kin.
She’s phenomenal and I’m completely OBSESSED with these photos!
