After their very first date, JR and Allison walked away with a spark in their souls they’d spent their whole lives waiting for.
It went beyond their easy conversation and effortless attraction… it was something so much greater. It was as if they’d always known each other, like they’d been saving a special place in their heart just for them.
It was true openness, emotional vulnerability, and uncompromising commitment. And it made it a no-brainer that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together!
JR is a total romantic, and missed absolutely no detail in planning his proposal to Allison. They took a weekend getaway to Maui, where he planned endless special surprises: couples massages, a stunning helicopter ride, and a gorgeous gown for an eight-course dinner (curated to Allison’s favorite foods!) where he asked her to be his wife.
I mean, does that not sound AMAZING?!
But I love this thoughtful surprise the most: JR and Allison have always loved paging through the New York Times over Sunday brunch, and so as Allison flipped through the paper the weekend of their engagement, she happened upon a very special picture… of them! JR had placed a special announcement in the NYT announcing their engagement! (#totesadorbs)
JR and Allison totally captured Jeff and I with their glamorous grace, but when it came down to it, they were like two kids in love! We just couldn’t get enough!
