After a fun and exciting two years of dating in college, Jennifer broke it off with Jeremiah. She wasn’t ready for something serious because she had big dreams for her post-college career. There was too much to accomplish…
She says that it was the biggest mistake she’s ever made.
When Jennifer takes inventory of her twenties – the challenges, the hopes, the dreams, and the fears – every high point includes Jeremiah. He was always the one refocusing her. No one was better at grounding, motivating and encouraging her in her ambitious endeavors. When something bad happened, she wanted to call him first.
And that’s how Jennifer eventually knew that it was him. It was always him, and it will forever be him.
Jeremiah and Jennifer have dug a deep well of history that makes them strong and committed, and I love the authenticity and honesty that I see in these two. It honors their past and strengthens their future, and it’s couples like them that fill our hearts with infinite amounts of joy when we get to photograph them!
Jeff and I met up with Jeremiah and Jennifer in Fairbanks Ranch where they’ll be getting married at Jennifer’s family home next year. This picture-perfect hideaway in the hills of San Diego was the perfect place for a relaxing engagement session in the golden San Diego wintertime (I seriously LOVE it here).
But of course, we couldn’t resist doing some oh-so-Youngren-esque black tie attire for the second half of our shoot together. If you know anything about Jeff and me (and you know us pretty stinkin’ well!) then you know we were in Youngren heaven with these two!
Jeremiah and Jennifer: Thank you for your honest hearts and for allowing Jeff and me to capture your sweet personalities so authentically. You share in a wonderful love together, and I know that the two of you deeply cherish what you’ve found. It doesn’t get any better than the two of you!
Hugs,
Erin
