Susan passed a note to Nate in 8th grade stating that she loved him. Nate returned Susan’s note and said he didn’t love her back – he loved a flute player instead.
Their paths would not cross again until they left their small town in northwest Indiana to be educated on separated coasts and enrolled a year apart in the same business school at Pepperdine. This time around, Nate didn’t make the same mistake of passing up this intelligent girl with a passion for life. This time around, he took her to the airport for a supposed trip to Mexico, but surprised her with a trip to Hawaii instead. On a small beach in Oahu, he made sure to let her know that not only did he love her this time, but he would love her for the rest of his life.
Nate and Susan’s warm and inviting midwest hearts are nothing short of wonderful. Not only do they love each other with complete security, but they face the world side by side and heart to heart, knowing that they balance each other out to make the perfect team. These two love their city and spent many dates wandering around the Griffith Observatory above LA, taking in the views of the city below, so we shared an INCREDIBLE afternoon together shooting around the art deco space. The weather was heavenly for this session with the kind of sky shattering sunset that made all of us stop and stare in disbelief. Those images are coming tomorrow in Part Two, so for today we get to feature the cute Part One with epic views of Los Angeles below.
Stay tuned for Part Two of Nate and Susan’s engagement session at Griffith Observatory coming to the bloggy-blog tomorrow. It’s insane how much we love these two and this fabulous session!
Hugs,
Erin
