They talked at the cafe over hot chocolate for two hours. It was the first time Anne saw Josh’s humor, when she saw his heart and how we was a pillar of strength for those around him.
And it was the first time Josh experienced Anne’s wonder, how she looks at the world with open eyes and childlike curiosity.
Josh gave Anne a copy of one of his favorite books, Desiring God by John Piper, and it’s a deeply thoughtful book. So when Anne dove into it with enthusiasm and joy, he knew that she was the kind of girl that he could open his heart to. Her positive spirit, her sharp mind, and her sweet eyes all stole his heart while his tender nature, inner strength, and sense of humor completely won her over.
These two sweethearts from Maryland are getting married soon at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, so they flew out to San Diego for their engagement session, and we instantly fell in love with their hearts!
We decided to grab some hot chocolate, reminisce over John Piper, and walk the harbor to reflect their early dating days in Annapolis, and then these two got seriously gussied up for some classic downtown photos! How gorgeous is Anne’s dress?? Lovelovelove!
Josh & Anne: Your hearts, your smiles, your souls – everything about you two is so loving and full!! We loved watching how you two love each other and how perfect guys are for one another. Our time together was so stinkin’ magical and we can’t wait to see you both again oh-so-soon!!
