These two never believed in soulmates. In fact, they were wondering if this whole love thing was actually going to happen for them or if life had simply passed them by.
But then these two started talking over long distance. A few conversations turned into a few months which turned into hearts that were maybe falling for this other person a few states away…
So when their eyes finally met for the very first time – face to face and heart to heart – at the baggage claim in the Oakland airport, they knew that this whole soulmate thing might actually be for reals.
Because as soon as they saw each other, they realized that they didn’t fall in love right then. They had been in love with each other their entire lives – they had just finally met.
If you spend ten minutes with Nick and Shivani, your heart will grow ten times bigger. Because these two don’t live on the surface. They go deep, quickly. They are a pair of opposites on the outside – she’s an artist with a deeply creative soul and he’s a brilliant mathematician and programmer – but on the inside their soft hearts are the same and their deeply spiritual sides come through in every word they say.
These two are getting married in a pair of dual ceremonies this summer – a Christian ceremony at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and then a Hindu ceremony with all of her families’ Indian traditions at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point. It’s going to be an INCREDIBLE weekend that I simply can’t wait for!!
In the meantime, we met up with these two at Torrey Pines for their engagement session which was the perfect place to represent the coming together of their worlds. The trees felt like Nick’s home in Idaho (fellow Idahoan! HOLLA!) and the ocean was perfect for Shivani’s upbringing by the water in Dana Point.
Nick & Shivani: OH. MY. WOW. You guys are above and beyond. Your hearts, your smiles, your love for each other – everything you are is just rich and soulful and perfect! Jeff and I felt our hearts stretch BIG with love for you both and I think it’s safe to say that we want your wedding to be here RIGHT NOW! LOL! Thanks for being who you are – especially who you are together!
Hugs,
Erin
