She’s his favorite. His favorite of everything. His favorite person to be around, to talk to, and to hike with. There’s nobody else he would rather have in the kayak next to him or be dreaming beside him. When you ask Josh, ‘Why Stephanie?’ he looks over at her sweet smile and says simply and honestly, ‘Because she’s my favorite.’
Stephanie is an artistic soul and fellow introverted wordsmith, and Josh is a mountain man with a dreamers heart. These two have a calm comfort between them that I love to watch, and it was a treasure to see them navigate their wedding day at Bernardo Winery with grace and joy. They hold each tight and their friends and family even tighter, and my favorite kind of weddings are ones like this when you can feel the strong bonds between the people that are attending.
The sweet little details at this wedding were cute cute cute! Stephanie incorporated rose gold into her jewelry and details (which I happen to LOVE), and kept her look simple, romantic and classic, while picking brighter colors for the florals and bridesmaids. One of my favorite details, though, was the two garters from Stephanie’s grandmother that she had worn at her wedding. One of the garters still held a shiny 1930 penny. So amazing!
