If there’s one thing you need to know about Brian and Elise, it’s loyalty. Their hearts are knit together with their friends and family like one of those thick sailing ropes – the ones that raise the sails and hold them in place. And like those sails, their friendships move them forward through love and life with the wind at their backs, the sun on their skin, a drink in their hands, and a party on the way. Which is another thing you should know about Brian and Elise – with them around, a party is always close at hand. Always.
Brian and Elise’s wedding was held at the sweeping Black Gold Golf Club tucked back into the golden hills of Yorba Linda. This golf course wedding was full of two things – emotional tears and laughing tears. It was so cool how these two things lived side by side in perfect harmony – one moment we all would be brought to tears by the beauty of the day and then brought to tears by gut wrenching laughter. And I think that’s the best kind of wedding, when all kinds of emotions run strong.
To start the day, we hung out with the ladies in their suite while Julie and Brianna of Perfect Day, Perfect Hair made everyone gorgeous.
Elise is totally my kind of girl. She picked out two pairs of heels for the day – this purple pair for the reception and a classic white number for the ceremony.
The First Look was a great example of laughter and tears living side by side. Brian teased Elise by slowly turning around in teeny steps (I love this guy), but when he finally laid eyes on her it was all tears!
Awww yeah! Checkin’ out his unbelievable bride!
Elise surprised Brian with a few gifts during their First Look, one of which was the ring he was dying to have but wasn’t sure he would be able to get. By the way, I love that these two fully understood the concept of the First Look – you can have your quiet private time to do anything you’d like to do before the day really gets moving along. This is what the First Look is all about!
Again, we were all moved to tears by Elise’s sweet gifts.
BAM! Those are some rockin’ lashes! I also fell in love with the bouquet from Kelli over at Flower Touches.
The dapper groomsmen. I’m a die hard fan of the grey suits.
And also of the argyle socks – yes!
The classy ladies working the lovely knee-length look. I really love how their style turned out!
Prepping for the ceremony.
Brian’s brother and best man was the COOLEST. He was so excited the entire day and he gave one of the most emotional toasts I’ve ever experienced – more on that tomorrow.
There were plenty more tears and smiles to take us through the ceremony.
Love these two shots. Everybody was in tears!
Married!
We have the rest of Brian and Elise’s wedding at the Black Gold Golf Club coming your way tomorrow complete with all of the lovely details and the rockin’ party that night! See you then!
Hugs,
Erin
