The best thing about a young couple in love is that they have their whole lives in front of them. Nothing about their relationship is old or weary – everything is new and exciting. The rivers of possibilities may as well be streaming out of their ears.
The next best thing about a young couple in love is that they have their whole lives together in front of them. The new and exciting will be experienced in company with each other and the possibilities will be met with hands clasped, charging forward as one.
Like I mentioned with Justin and Alexia’s Lake Tahoe engagement session, these two remind me so much of Jeff and me when we got married at a young age, so in many ways I see the road ahead of them. Over the next five, ten, and fifteen years, they get to grow up together and discover themselves as different people. It will be difficult and heart wrenching in ways that they won’t understand until they’re on the other side, and then they will realize that the road they chose was more wonderful than they could ever have imagined on their wedding day.
Which is the best thing about watching a young sweet couple like Justin and Alexia get married. We are all deliriously happy for them on their special day, but we give each other a wink and a smile knowing that they have no idea just how good life is going to be sharing it together.
Justin and Alexia chose the little town of Brentwood in northern California in which they were born and raised to host their wedding, and when Alexia began planning an elegant garden wedding studded in gold with lace and sparkles, she was pulling from her own impeccable sense of style. Little did she know that she would be designing the most lovely Gatsby-esque affair just weeks after the movie premiered! I love how our couples are always one step ahead of the trends! From Alexia’s feather-textured gown to the gold floor length bridesmaid dresses to the sparkly reception details set in a manicured garden, this wedding is nothing short of timeless and fabulous. We began the day with the ladies getting ready before heading over to Brownstone Gardens for the emotional ceremony and celebration.
If you think the moments and details from today are lovely, just wait until you see the emotional ceremony and elegant decor. You’ll definitely need tissues and a Pinterest pinning finger for the rest of Justin and Alexia’s garden wedding, coming to the bloggy-blog tomorrow!
Hugs,
Erin
