As my friends know, I’m kind of a library-nut. I go crazy for anything that has to do with books, literature, and libraries in general, so when Luke and Victoria planned a library-themed wedding at one of my favorite venues in downtown LA, Cafe Pinot, I just about went bonkers. Well, in many ways, I actually did go bonkers over their seriously cute details – books upon books upon books layered the tables and the details. Even the stationary was book-themed (looking very Gatsby-esque), and sections of the wedding were labeled as chapters – the invitations being Chapter I, the ceremony was Chapter II, and the reception was Chapter III. The RSVPs were printed on library checkout cards, and catalog cards tucked into an old card catalog drawer told guests where they were sitting. Everything was styled after the 1920s art deco LA Central Library, which is the backdrop to this gorgeous venue, and everything looked fabulous.
A big thanks to the ladies of Orange Blossom Special Events and to Seed Floral for the beautiful flowers! Let’s begin with these drool-worthy details I can’t stop talking about (can you tell how much I love them?), and then it’s on to the ceremony!
Luke and Victoria: We simply had a blast walking with you through your wedding day, and I keep flipping through your images again and again to relive all of the gorgeous moments. Thanks for being completely yourselves with us, and know that you now have lifelong friends here in San Diego!
Hugs,
Erin
