Every ounce of Darrell and Angel’s wedding day was soaked in so much meaning… not just because of the love story they share, but because of the people who’ve supported them along the way.
After they said ‘I do’ at their beautifully candlelit ceremony in Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery (check out all the details here in Part One!), these newlyweds walked back into the most romantic reception filled with the faces of alllll their loved ones.
Darrell and Angel made it a special point to acknowledge and greet each of their guests – and to honor one very important person who couldn’t be there, Angel’s dad.
Her precious dad was a law enforcement officer who was tragically killed a few years ago, and his presence on the wedding day was deeply missed. So Angel’s brother stepped in, walked her down the aisle in uniform, and danced with her in their father’s place… while beautiful images of their dad faced them on the dancefloor, and clips of his voice played over the music.
It’s safe to say that everyone in the room was wrecked… There wasn’t a single dry eye in that room! Jeff and I had hearts simply bursting for the way Angel’s family thoughtfully welcomed her dad’s presence into her wedding day – it was a moment none of us will forget.
This day was a special one, my friends!
Darrell and Angel: Just. WOW. We are so thankful to know you, to have walked through this day with you, and to be able to continue cheering you on in your marriage! Thank you, thank you, thank you for inviting us to celebrate your day with you!! Love you both bunches!
Hugs,
Erin
