Just before Tyler and Marlee’s First Look in the fairytale-like cottonwood groves along the Rio Grande, I looked at Marlee and just couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked. Her big brown eyes and joyful smile were simply sparkling, and I had a feeling that she had no idea just how radiant she looked to the rest of us.
Marlee’s sweet smile infected all of us that day, and Tyler’s heartfelt soul melted us into a collective pile of butter at their wedding in Albuquerque. Tyler and Marlee are two genuine individuals with seriously authentic hearts – what you see is what you get with these two, and what we see is a beautiful duo filled with love and compassion. Marlee is a math teacher (a saint in my book), and Tyler is a football coach that comes from a big football family (I love the game-play diagram Tyler outlined for his guys for the ceremony).
Their classic wedding in their hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was the perfect mix of rustic and elegant. The ladies of Occasion Services and Events pulled off a refined event with grace, and Floriography designed perfectly organic and sweet florals to add a rustic touch to the decor. My favorite part of the day? Taking portraits in the romantic cottonwood groves by the river where everything was covered in soft white cotton and bits of cotton slowly floated through the air around us, making it feel like we had just stepped into a fairyland. *swoon*
Stay tuned for the emotional ceremony and all of the stunning decor from the reception, coming to the bloggy-blog tomorrow! It’s going to be a sweet one!
Hugs,
Erin
