Put me in an elegant ballroom with some chandeliers, a sweet couple, and champagne glasses and I’m a HAPPY CAMPER!
Because there’s just something about those sparkly and elegant details that make emotional moments come alive for us. There’s something about all of your favorite people in the world getting gussied up to toast, dance and celebrate the night away!
Our favorite receptions are elegant, emotional, meaningful, and traditional. We love watching parents say sweet things to their sons and daughters, and hearing siblings and best friends say how much they love the bride and groom. Our hearts come alive when we see Grandma getting down on the dance floor and the groom smile bigger than he ever has in his life as he dances the night away with his guys.
As long as our couple and their families are experiencing the night fully alive, we produce our best work!
In our final installment in our Best of 2016 series, here’s our favorite moments at the gorgeous receptions we got to photograph this last year, starting with the sweet and wonderful toasts!!
The first dance… I just can’t get enough of them!! They’re so elegant and there always seems to be a sweet laugh or two involved!
Oh my goodness – the MOST emotional moment for me of THE ENTIRE DAY is the father/daughter and mother/son dances. I never seem to hold it together! So if you ever see me shooting a reception, just take a peek at me behind the camera and you’ll for sure see tears!
It hits me so deep watching a father or a mother dance with their precious kiddos!
There were so many elegant evenings and gorgeous decor this year put together by amazing teams of vendors. It was such a treat to sit back and watch dinner conversations and laughter unfold!
And then it’s time to DANCE!! The Hora dance is such an EPIC moment to photograph – they’re crazy and fun and wild! And the real winners this last year were the incredible bands and DJs that kept the parties going all night long!!
I just can’t believe what an amazing year 2016 was for our Dreamie couples and their Dreamie weddings. An enormous thank you goes out to their hearts as well as the incredible vendors that made so much magic happen!
Here’s to an even better 2017 and all of our Dreamie couples and vendors that we’re going to photograph!
