Shea and Kailyn’s deep connection to each other is only matched by the deep connection they have with the community around them. Their wedding day wasn’t just a big event for their respective families, but it was the event of the fall for their tight-knit town in the foothills of LA. Shea and Kailyn both work at their local church, and they invited the congregation to share in the celebration because it was this massive group of wonderful people that witnessed their love story over the years. Everybody came with their entire families in tow, and all ages were present. I can safely say that I’ve never seen so many youngsters and teenagers and youth group kids at a single wedding before, and I’ve definitely never seen so many of them tear up the dance floor like they did that night!
It was a treat to see this community come together for two special people, and you can see the deep gratitude in Shea and Kailyn’s eyes when they talk about it. Their love is strong on it’s own – they adore each other – but it becomes mighty with the powerful bond the community shares.
This was a sweet wedding from top to bottom because it took place in Shea and Kailyn’s hometown at all of the special places to them. We began the day at their childhood homes, where they each got ready, and then headed to the peaceful foothills for their First Look.
My heart is already full with love for Shea and Kailyn, and there’s still more to come! Tomorrow, the ceremony and reception at their hometown church will be gracing the bloggy-blog, so check back in for more cuteness!
Hugs,
Erin
