As an artist, one of the most satisfying experiences is when your art exceeds your own expectations. There so much pushing in art – pushing yourself, pushing your gear, pushing your subjects, and pushing your limits. When all of that turns into a beautiful result, it’s deeply satisfying.
Getting the film back from Steve and Noelle’s wedding in Huntington Beach was one of those perfect moments. Everybody in the studio definitely turned their heads when they heard a huge “Wow!” come from my corner of the office as I flipped through the images for the first time. I’m in love with the look of the medium format film from this wedding – the colors, the black and whites, the moments – it all came together perfectly!
