Jeff and I firmly believe in slowing our couples down.
You see, a wedding day can feel like a blur of emotions if you don’t take the time to intentionally breathe it in, take notice of the little things… and savor the moment.
So after Troy and Tara said “I do” overlooking the lake (see all the sweetness in Part One!), we couldn’t wait to celebrate with their incredible guests… but first, we took the time to savor. We pulled them under the canopy of trees to soak in the first moments as “husband” and “wife,” and those sweet moments were some of our favorite of the day!
It turns out that Troy and Tara share a crazy family history – Tara’s aunt and uncle lived across the street from Troy’s family for a decade! We loved that Tara and Troy asked her uncle Joe to officiate their wedding – it tied their whole incredible story together.
If that wasn’t crazy enough, both Troy and Tara’s dads had careers in the beer industry! In fact, they worked together at Budweiser for a while in the 80’s, but Troy’s dad pursued a career at Coor’s – so the rivalry is REAL. Beer is part of this couple’s blood, so they gifted each of their guests with custom bottle-openers. It was AWESOME.
A live blues band for cocktail hour, a table of yummy treats (including fresh churros!) for their guests, and twinkle lights among the forest trees?! Yes, this day was simply so so so perfect!
Troy and Tara: This was the PERFECT day! We wanted to bottle it up and take it with us always, because the smiles and the joy and the laughter – it was all so contagious! You slowed down and soaked it in, and we hope you revisit those precious memories often. We love you both bunches!
Hugs,
Erin
