Following up on our post on Monday, you know that Jeff and I recently picked up a Contax 645 medium format film camera, and we’re basically in love. We’ve been drooling over the images we’ve produced so far in getting used to the new format, and we decided that Melanie and Elliott’s vintage inspired wedding at L’Auberge Del Mar would be the best time to bring it along for it’s maiden voyage at an event.
We shot a few rolls throughout the day just to get a feel for the new flow, and I can honestly say that I haven’t been so excited to get a roll of film back from the lab since our family’s trip to Disney World in ’96. But honestly, Melanie was so stunning, Elliot was so charming, and the vendors were all so talented that I’m blown away by how easy it was to capture such loveliness! I’m tempted to go on and on about how much I adore each frame, but when a wedding looks this wonderful, the images just speak for themselves!
You’ll be seeing so much more of our experiments with film in the coming months, which makes me believe that it’s going to be an incredible year!
Hugs,
Erin
