Lucas and Anna dreamed of a wedding day led by joy… and their wish came true on a perfect June day in New York City.
It was a day FULL of joyful surprises!
Jeff and I quickly learned at Lucas and Anna’s engagement session that these two have a very affectionate way together, and their love truly had room to breathe and play and simply enjoy on their wedding day.
To celebrate their recent move to New York City, Lucas and Anna said “I do” in Brooklyn Bridge Park, surrounded by forty of their closest family and friends, and overlooking the most city’s captivating skyline.
There was no moment of the day that didn’t feel carefree, even when the wedding bands were accidentally left behind at the hotel! Anna’s parents quickly offered up their bands to use – the perfect standby – and when their real rings were retrieved just a few minutes later, they were able to surprise each other with their wedding band designs for the first time. It was such a fun moment!
After their ceremony, these newlyweds jumped from joy to joy, wherever their heart was leading… a ride on Jane’s Carousel with their nieces and nephews, ice cream cones (with sprinkles!) before dinner, and a moment alone under the Manhattan Bridge to soak it all in.
It was there, with the glowing city lights, that Anna burst into happy tears… they both couldn’t contain their emotion and gratitude and JOY. Love love love!
Their New York City wedding was the intimate, whimsical day that Anna and Lucas had dreamed of… but there’s more! We’re celebrating with them and alllllll of their family and friends again in Lake Tahoe this fall, so keep your eyes peeled for more of these lovebirds!
For now, enjoy this most amazing day, my friends – these two are so sweet!
