Jeff and I took a stroll around downtown Los Angeles the morning of Alan and Annette’s wedding. We walked the path that we would take throughout the wedding day, beginning at the LA Athletic Club, shooting at Grand Park, and then running up to the rooftops to shoot the two of them down below on their way to the reception at the Oviatt Penthouse. The city was so loud that it was peaceful. I could have lost myself easily in the chaos of the sirens, busses, and car horns as I imagined Alan and Annette experiencing the day they had been planning for so many months.

And later that afternoon as Alan and Annette held each other in Grand Park, looked in each other’s eyes on the rooftop ceremony, and danced the night away under the twinkling skyscrapers, it would be the soundtrack of their memories  – the din of the city they loved so much. This had been the background music of their lives, and now it was the sound of their wedding day.

Alan and Annette are a stylish, smart, and confident couple with impeccable taste for vintage fashion, and I’ve been looking forward to their fashionable rooftop wedding at the Oviatt Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles for ages. Not only have these two world travelers captured our hearts with their sweet love for each other, but Annette is a vintage fashion blogger so we’ve been kept in anxious anticipation to see what both of them were going to wear. Don’t worry – neither of them disappointed! In fact, everything about this wedding fulfilled our deepest hopes and dreams for these two – the gorgeous outfits, the vintage venue, the romantic skyline, and all of the oh-so-perfect moments in between. Reader beware – this just may become an all-time favorite affair on the bloggy-blog!

Let’s begin this epic day with the girls and guys getting ready at the Los Angeles Athletic Club across the street from the Oviatt Penthouse.

All I can say after today is, “WOW.” As hard as it may be to believe, it gets EVEN BETTER tomorrow! We still have to show off their rooftop ceremony at twilight followed by all of the beautiful moments at the glamorous reception tomorrow and you really don’t want to miss what’s coming! Stay tuned!
