Corinne is the type of girl that when she’s not looking, all of us turn to each other and say, “Good grief, this girl is ridiculously beautiful.” And even though I think Corinne knows that she’s beautiful in a very sweet and humble way – she has fabulous taste and loves dressing up – I’m not sure Corinne realizes just exactly how beautiful she is. As in, she’s not only a gorgeous girl on the outside, but also on the inside where it counts. She’s beautiful in her hugs where we feel her sincere love. In her smile where we see her joy. In her kind words where we hear her sweet gratitude. She loves fiercely and serves humbly. She feels deeply and laughs freely.
This is her true beauty – the part of her that sweet Josh fell head over heels in love with. The part that all of us have fallen head over heels in love with, but while we all feel lucky to know Corinne as a dear friend, the true story is about the guy that gets to stand by her side as her rock and anchor in life. The guy that gets to have her back when she requires a burst of courage or be her shelter when all that’s needed is a safe place to land. The guy that gets to shine the light of her beauty when she loses sight of her glow.
The true story of their wedding day is what they get to be for each other from here on out, and that’s the most beautiful thing I can imagine.
What I love about Josh and Corinne’s wedding is that they made a conscious decision to pick their closest friends and family and have a small, intimate backyard garden wedding at Josh’s parents’ estate in Tarzana. This wedding embodied everything that is wonderful about a backyard garden event – lovely, organic, unique, and personal. Together, they spared no adorable detail and transformed the house in which Josh grew up into a wedding oasis, complete with wooden dinner tables, strung market lights, and a ceremony under a chandelier-studded tree.
Come back tomorrow for the full cast of details and vendors when we show off the Pinterest-worthy reception decor, but for today, we’re focusing on the story of Josh and Corinne, beginning with prep for the big day.
I’m struggling to hold back my excitement over here because I’m DYING to show off the reception details from this backyard garden wedding. Josh and Corinne infused their personalities perfectly into every little detail, so stop right back here tomorrow for all of the goodness!
Hugs,
Erin
