It’s the first time we’ve seen unquestionable proof on a wedding day that you’ll only fall more deeply in love after the nuptials. Leigh Ann and Todd were married in a small ceremony four years ago, planning to hold a big celebration in the near future. The birth of their son, a move to D.C., and then the arrival of their daughter over the next four years put those plans on hold. But those years were foundational years – they were building a family, a marriage, and a love story that would take my breath away when they were finally able to celebrate their marriage with all of their friends and family last week at the darling Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.
If I think about getting married to Jeff now after having been married for almost eight years, the emotions overwhelm me. Celebrating a love that has already deepened, strengthened, and fought its way to life is such a different experience that celebrating a love that is beginning it’s journey. And the thought of celebrating that love along with your two wonderful children unleashes yet another wellspring of joy.
But I must come back to this – truly the best part about Todd and Leigh Ann’s wedding was that all of the blessings and well wishes from their guests for a marriage full of joy, love, and commitment have already come true. There is no doubt that they will be endlessly happy together, because they already have been for so long.
This wedding was a lovely affair from top to bottom thanks to the talented Merilee of Ever After Events. We LOVE this girl and her fabulous team of coordinators – any event with Merilee is a guaranteed day of beauty, ease, and emotion. Plus, Annette Gomez rocked the florals, and there’s no better backdrop than the romantic Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. It was a dream team of vendors that brought endless romance and adoration to Todd and Leigh Ann’s wonderful affair! Also, stay tuned for a separate post of the medium format film images that we captured at this wedding… They just may be our best yet!
Tomorrow we get to show off the romantic decor at the elegant garden reception, plus so many more moments with this adorable family. With kiddos this cute, how could you possibly resist coming back??
